Looking for in-person and online CBT in Manchester?
At Feel Good CBT Manchester I offer a bespoke therapy service in the heart of Didsbury.
For many people having therapy in person is important. When you arrive at a counselling or psychotherapy office, you want to leave everything else at behind you for a while, you want to know that you can talk freely and then have some time to decompress before you head home again. I'm sure you will feel cosy and comfortable in my little therapy room.
Or you may find that your life feels full to the brim and it's hard to squeeze time in for a coffee break, let alone travelling to a therapy office. Don't worry - I've got you. ,I have worked online since 2020, all of my resources and interventions are set up to be adjusted for online therapy that fits around you and your busy lifestyle.
Whatever works best for you - access therapy on your own terms.
What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy?
CBT recognises that everyday situations trigger patterns of negative thought that can have an impact on the way we feel; leaving us anxious or low. In turn this can have an effect on how we react to situations. A vicious cycle can be created in which the things we do reinforce our negative thought and feelings. It can be difficult to find a way out.
In our therapy sessions we would work together to understand your individual patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Our first step would be to develop your awareness of what keeps the problem going; empowering you to understand how to make changes. Then we collaborate on testing out a range of skills and strategies to break this cycle; helping you to become free from the old negative patterns and giving you the tools you need to feel good
What problems can CBT help with?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy has been proven within clinical research to be a highly effective form of talking therapy. CBT is recommended by NICE, The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, for a range of treatments.
CBT has been shown to be effective for a range of common mental health problems including:
Depression
Social Anxiety
Generalised Anxiety
Panic Attacks
OCD
Phobias
PTSD and Trauma
Health Anxiety
Low self-esteem
Perfectionism
You may not feel the need to give your problems a specific label, and that's okay. At Feel Good CBT Manchester I can help you to explore and understand your individual experiences, and together we can find the right intervention to help you.
